Current & Upcoming Initiatives

Our community is more than just a place on a map - it's a living, breathing project fueled by our incredible volunteers.

From rolling up our sleeves to brighten our streets or lending a hand when a neighbour needs it most, we're all about making Southwater the best place to call home!

COMPUTER CLUB

Feeling overwhelmed by an increasingly digital world? We’re here to help you conquer tech stress, from mastering video calls to staying secure online. Build your confidence at your own pace and get connected in a supportive, relaxed environment.

Run by a community of volunteer mentors, we meet every Tuesday from 10am-12pm at the Laurie Apted Building, Church Lane.

STATION PROJECT

We’re breathing new life into the station site, transforming it into a vibrant focal point for the whole village.

By blending the old with the new, our rejuvenation project will feature stunning murals that celebrate the site’s rich railway heritage while creating a fresh, welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.

It’s more than just a facelift—it’s about honoring our past and creating a landmark that belongs to the community.

CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL 2026

The most wonderful time of the year is already on our horizon! Our annual Christmas Festival is back for 2026, and we want to make it our biggest celebration yet!

To pull off the magic, we’re opening up the floor for your brightest ideas, looking for unique local stalls to fill our market, and building a dream team of volunteers to help the day run smoothly.

Whether you have a creative suggestion or want to roll up your sleeves and join the festive crew, now is the time to get involved and help us bring the holiday spirit to life!
