Southwater News Report July 2023

The Southwater Community Partnership (SCP) is made up of a group of volunteers who have come together to organise a variety of events, projects and celebrations for our community. We firmly believe in the power of collaboration, working with local businesses, groups and organisations to bring about change and create a stronger and more vibrant community.

The partnership is continually developing and evolving. We all enjoy putting fantastic events together for the village but we are also interested in other initiatives. Therefore, one of our primary objectives this year is the identify and understand the needs, aspirations, concerns and ideas of the residents of Southwater. By doing so we can implement initiatives and take action that truly aligns with the desires and expectations of our community.

Over the past year, the SCP has organised several memorable events that have brought fun, unity and a sense of belonging to our community. Our proudest moments include the resounding success of the Jubilee Jamboree, the magical atmosphere of the Christmas Festival and more recently the vibrant celebration of the Coronation. These events not only provided opportunities for us to come together as a village but also showcased the remarkable talents and creativity that exists within our community.

In conclusion, we would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to our partnership. Whether through volunteering, sponsorship or attending our events, you have played a vital role in making our community stronger. Let us continue this journey together and may the year ahead bring us even closer as we work side by side to create a brighter future for Southwater.
